Creative Direction, Space and Costume

In Kafka’s “Amerika,” my main interests lie in the themes of loneliness and alienation, particularly as they relate to linguistic barriers and lack of trusted relationships, exemplified by Karl’s isolation in a foreign land. Intrigued by the interplay of sexuality and shame within societal and religious contexts, the work how these themes contribute to Karl’s sense of exclusion and punishment and the concept of “Coolness” as a defense mechanism, contrasting with Karl’s outsider perspective.
